This summer, Greater Lowell families have a brand-new option for their children ages 7–10 — and it's unlike anything else in the Greater Lowell area.
SkillSprout America Summer Academy opens July 6, 2026 at Central Congregational Church, 1 Worthen Street, right in the heart of Chelmsford. The program runs Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, through August 21 — giving working families full-day coverage while giving their children something genuinely transformative.
SkillSprout America was built around one powerful belief: summer is too valuable to waste. Without structure and purpose, children naturally drift toward screens — and the window for growth quietly closes. Jignesh Shah founded this program so that when September arrives, children return to school not just rested, but genuinely more capable, confident, and ready to lead.
Shah shared, "Chelmsford already has amazing options for kids this summer — and I wanted to add something different to that mix. A program that goes beyond activities and teaches children real-world skills: how to think critically, how to understand money, and how to lead with confidence. That's what SkillSprout America is."
The program is built around a proprietary 3M Framework covering three pillars that schools rarely have time to teach deeply:
MATHEMATICS — Olympiad-style logic puzzles, problem-solving challenges, and critical thinking exercises that build lasting academic confidence and prepare children for fall competitions.
MONEY — Real-world financial literacy through budgeting games, entrepreneurship simulations, savings concepts, and a camp-wide economy using SkillBucks. Most adults wish they had learned these skills as children.
MIND — Leadership development, self-discipline, self-awareness, and anti-bullying character building that shapes who a child becomes — not just what they know.
The program also incorporates non-contact Taekwondo and Yoga for physical wellness and focus, all in a fully supervised, indoor, climate-controlled environment with a 1:8 to 1:10 staff-to-camper ratio.
Families can choose between a 3-day per week or full 5-day per week schedule. Spots are intentionally limited to ensure every child receives individual attention.
